If you are having issues when installing Windows 10 with your computer not responding, stuck at a percentage or blank screen.
Turn off all power saving options before you retry to upgrade to Windows 10. If your hard drive is set to sleep this could be the issue.
I had this issue where my computer would hang around 67% and 87%, I had tried other solutions like deleting the install files and re downloading, I also removed all external peripherals from my laptop. Thinking that it could possibly be a driver issue.
The solution was to simply stop the computer from sleeping.
